Visit Maramureş App is a tourist application administered by the County Council of Maramures that is dedicated to the Maramures County area, in Romania.It is aimed at both tourists and locals with various interests that are offered detailed information on most attractive POIs and events in the area, as well as on existing local services (accommodation, restaurants, bars, tourist info points and offices).The content is updated real-time and is continuously subject to improving in order to provide accurate and relevant info.
The current version of the Visit Maramureş App contains the following themes:- Accommodation: places in Maramures County that offer accommodation to tourists;- Culture & Leisure: places in Maramures County that offer cultural and leisure activities;- Events Calendar: events that take place in Maramures County;- Food & Drink: places in Maramures County that serve food and drinks;- Wooden churches of Maramures: it contains a travel route along the Unesco wooden churces of Maramures;- Greenway Maramures: it contains the Greenway route with POI locations along this route;- Maramures map: contains a offline static map of Maramures County;- Tourist Info: official tourist info points and offices where a tourist can get information on what to see and to do in the Maramures County;- Other themes (f. ex. shopping, citizen services) can be added to the app by the Maramures Council once they have relevant content; the app will update itself when new themes are added.
All POIs contain relevant information (photos, text, address, telephone and cell phone number with the possibility to call using the call function of the device, email address with the possibility to send a message using the email function of the device, website, opening hours, location of the POIs shown on Google maps, routing options)
Alphabetical and by distance sorting options are implemented. Also, various filtering options are available, according to the type of POIs.
Language switch is available (Romanian, English) directly from the application's settings.
